Disability and Physical Rehabilitation Programs

The Organization for Development, Rehabilitation and Health (ODRH) is committed to supporting persons with disabilities (PwDs) through inclusive, rights-based, and needs-driven interventions. ODRH focuses on physical rehabilitation, accessibility, and social integration to improve the quality of life and independence of PwDs across Afghanistan.

Recognizing the barriers faced by persons with disabilities, especially women and children, ODRH delivers services that promote dignity, inclusion, and mobility. These include the provision of assistive devices, community-based rehabilitation, and advocacy to influence inclusive public policies and infrastructure.

Key Aspects of the ODRH Disabilities Program:

Physical Rehabilitation: Long-term therapeutic support for PwDs, especially children and women, to restore function and independence.
Physical Accessibility: Efforts to make schools, clinics, and public buildings accessible for all.
Assistive Devices: Provision of wheelchairs, crutches, and other mobility aids tailored to individual needs.
Advocacy & Inclusion: Promoting the rights and participation of PwDs in all areas of social and economic life.
